We are pleased to announce that the Peninsula Youth Orchestra has won one of five major 1999-2000 ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming, along with the New York Philharmonic, the American Composers Orchestra, the Westchester Philharmonic, and the Cleveland Chamber Symphony.

The PYO won its award (in competition with all U. S. orchestras) for American music programming on its tour to Japan in June, 1999. These awards are presented at the American Symphony Orchestra League's National Conference, held in Boston in June, 2000.  This award carries enormous national prestige!
