Peninsula Youth Orchestra Auditions

PYO Auditions for the 2010-2011 season have been completed.

Auditions for all PYO groups the 2011-2012 season will be held in the Spring of 2011.
Auditions are conducted in a warm and friendly setting with the Youth Orchestra staff specialists.
Parents and teachers are welcome!

Audition Requirements

Strings, Woodwinds, and Brass: 2 major and 2 minor scales (student's choice) An etude and a solo work of student's choice For advanced strings at the PYO level, a solo Bach movement is preferred, but not required. Possible sight-reading.
Percussion Prepared etude and solo on instrument(s) of choice (snare drum, timpani, bells, etc.)

Membership is open to all students who wish to study symphonic repertoire and enhance their school music experience. Members are required to be enrolled in their school music program, unless there is no school music program, or the music teacher signs a statement that a required subject interferes with such enrollment.

Financial Aid and Work Scholarships are available.
