Winter 2026 AUDITION INFORMATION
We're excited to announce that auditions are now open for students to join all PYO ensembles mid-season! Newly admitted students will begin rehearsals in January2026 and participate for the remainder of the 2025-2026 season. Please read below for more information on how to join.
Instruments We’re Prioritzing
We are especially seeking students who play: viola, cello, bass, bassoon, oboe, brass, and percussion. Auditions are open to all orchestral instrumentalists.

Key Dates & Process
November 3rd: Audition applications open 🎉
December 5th: Application and audition video deadline
December 6-21: Audition video review
December 23rd: Audition results sent to applicants
January 11-13, 2026: First rehearsals for newly admitted students
Audition Details
We will only be accepting video recordings for Winter 2026 auditions. Please review the 2025-2026 Audition Requirements linked below for audition requirement details.
Application Fee
To help support our audition process and program operations, we will be re-implementing a $25 application fee this season. Details on how to submit payment will be provided after your application is submitted.
